Fourth Grade Homeless Project

Updated: Mar 2, 2020

By: Portia

Four students from fourth grade are collecting donations for Sparrow Ministry in Hartford. The students are collecting donations for the homeless from February 20-April 3.

The organizers of this project are Eniyah G., Asianae F., Rushawn L., and Raenya D.

They created a list of supplies that are needed. The list was placed in students’ green folders, one week in January.

We spoke with some students and a teacher about what they thought of the project:

“It's a nice thing to do, well worth your time.” -Kaidatu, a second-grader.

“It sounds like a wonderful project and a big help to the community and I'm willing to donate.”

-Ms. Williams

“It's a nice thing to do. Best of luck helping the homeless.”

-Porsche, a first-grader.

Although they are all doing different things, they all relate to helping the homeless.
